Pinhal Blend is inspired by the long coffee tradition of Espírito Santo do Pinhal (known simply as Pinhal), a small town in São Paulo state near the Minas Gerais border. Coffee is at the heart of life here — most farms are small to medium-sized and often run by families of Italian heritage. Because the land is so steep, much of the coffee is still hand-picked, and the high elevation gives the beans their unique character.
Armando Costa, Bruna’s father, grew up in Pinhal and has managed Costa Café’s export office there for nearly 40 years. His close relationships with local farmers helped shape this blend, designed to highlight the true flavours of Pinhal’s mountain-grown coffees.
Today, the region is becoming a national tourist hotspot, known for its scenic wineries, restaurants celebrating local food, and — above all — its exceptional coffee. It’s a special, under-the-radar place, and we’re proud to share a piece of it with you.
